Default EFI stack injection for V12?

Hello all!

My 72 XKE 7-liter engine is installed and running.
Has anyone done a custom stack EFI setup for the v-12s?

I know 2 were done in california, but XKS Unlimited didn't tell me who.

Thanks!

John

Last time I was looking at this myself, it was offered by Borla Induction.
https://www.borlainduction.com/
However, I don't find any mention of it now. Can't hurt to contact them however.

Here is someone who did EFI, supercharger and NOS. A little over the top but interesting: 1969 Series II Jaguar E-Type XKE 2+2 4.2 - European Car Magazine

It's ridiculous in this day and age of US Gov antigravity planes and UFOs and such that folks are still bolting on 6x2 barrel webers to V12s.
Old school cool, yes, but nuts.
The V12 was designed for injection from the get-go anyway.
I do know that Aston Martin Heritage has some side draft weber-looking EFI units now.
I wonder if they can be used as downdraft units?

Great Nelson's Guns! If I have to develop a stack EFI kit for our V12 Jags I will.

From what I understand, Borla Injection bought Weber specifically to make the Weber carb a throttle body. It was expensive back when it was on their site, but I am positive that they did offer it.
I never followed through, but there also is(was) a guy in Maine that was converting the Stromberg to a efi unit using GM throttle body injection. It was a really neat set up, yet tested only on a TR6. Worked great from all I ever read. Increased fuel mileage by 30-40%, instant cold starts, etc. With little effort, could be done without any real external changes for a original look.

Fox sent me these photos.

Hi John,
Yes, they will work for the V12, as I have one in the shop I'm putting together for a customer's custom build.
The straight 6 has no intake that I know of for downdraft, but are available for the classic sidedraft install.
See attached pics.
Also check out my youtube channel, which is linked to the site.
This was a very one-off special build for an XJ13.
Hope this helps out a bit.
Thanks for asking.

Manifolds:

On the intake I got this from my supplier, Pierce Maniolds.
I am not sure but it might be a bit shorter than the ones available years back.
Keeping them short is tough.
The crossram is a good piece as it helps with torque, but the dizzy is in the way.
I usually toss that anyway and go with totally new ignition, which solves another problem these great engines.
Cooling was another issue but that's an easy fix.

That's impressive, lot of power and it is still a really pretty engine. Nice work!

Default Jenny injection a success!

We are up and running with the Jenvey system.
All work done by White Post Restorations, VA.
462 bhp on the Dyno. At the crank. 531 ft lbs torque.
7 liter, EFI cams. 10:1 pistons. Pump gas.
Smooth acceleration from 850 rpm. Excellent drivability. Could pull out a decent size tree stump.
Headers, Jet Hot coated, and stainless sport exhaust. Sounds like a Can Am car. Bitchin.
Lights up the rears at 2800 rpm. HD clutch for Big Block Chevy installed.
High performance drilled discs. Fosseway.
Runs like a scalded cat!!!

Hi Fran,

Thanks for sharing this. What cams are you running, what work was done to the heads and which ECU did you use?

Cheers
John

Heads were mildly ported.
Cams are Jag EFI grind. Classic Jaguar. TX
The ECU came with the Jenvey kit.

The car feels like a 427 Cobra with a mild tune.
More comfort, and its a JAG.
