Default Etype ignition switch relay conversion

I have seen a tech article somewhere instructing how to add a relay behind the dash to route power through rather than directly through the ignition switch. Eliminating the associated heat at the switch and improving reliability. Can't seem to find it now.

Wondering if you have instructions or can direct me to the location of the article.

I have a 62 etype, converted to negative ground, running an alternator with about 60amps.

Thanks

The 'E' Type Forum - Login

Don’t know if this will work. You need to log in to etypeuk forum, go to Series I, go to Upgrades, search that sub forum for Ignition Switch Relay

OK, if you could summarize what you (pictures are always nice) did that would sure help the next person but if you don't have time no worries.

Sorry but I haven't done it yet!

The post on the Etype forum has pictures, also a very good forum.

The link in my response above will take you there and registration is simple.
