Does the engine casting date stamp read:

month-day-year
or
day-month-year




Thanks for any help?

The UK convention on dates is DD/MM/YYYY. The US swap month and year, so I suspect that at the Leyland foundry in Lancashire, England, they used the UK convention. All the blocks were cast by Leyland.
