How to stop horn blasting when turn on ignition?
I have a 1969 Etype. It has sat for about a month. Th horn goes off when I turn the key to start the car. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Thanks
If the horn goes off with the ignition switch being turned on, you must have a short to Ground either in the relay, or the Horn switch. I would check the Horn switch first, and if no problem there, replace the relay. When relays fail, they tend not to switch from their normal state, which in the case of the Horn Relay is normally open. Accordingly, if the horn is sounding when power is applied to the relay, its more likely to be a short to Ground via the Horn switch.

Bill
I will post if I find a solution.
