Long Lost XKE
Hi All- wit
I'm probably posting in the wrong place, but would love to know what happened to my former 1967 XKE Series 1 1/2. It was opalescent blue with a white top. The interior was navy. This evening my bride suggested that we try to find it (or another like it) > So, that is an offer that is hard to turn down,
I would love to know what happened to our XKE.. It had matching numbers, but for the head which was blank, I believe I sold it to an individual in North Carolina in 2000. So the title moved from Texas to NC. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks a million

Hi, Gerry:
Over time collector cars, like your old Jaguar, often undergo rebuilds or restoration and wind up with different color exteriors, interiors and convertible tops. So colors are not the best way to identify a particular car. What you need is the VIN or chassis number, which it sounds like you have.
Go to XKE Data - Keeping track of every Jaguar E-Type - Jaguar E-Type (XKE) information, articles, photos and register and plug in your VIN. Since your car was sold in 2000, when E-types were already valuable and expensive, there’s a very good chance it’s still on the road somewhere.
Good luck,
Alan
