Aloha,about to remove and rebuild. Have no idea what I am looking at parts to source or where to find them. Don’t know any torque specs or what book to find that will tell me. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Doss

It is most of a Jaguar rear independent suspension unit, but not mounted on the Jaguar subframe, or using the Jaguar radius arms.

So what car is it attached to ?

 

1st pic shows the brakes are the separate cylinder type used on Series 1, hub carriers look consistent with Series 1 also. Maybe use Series 1 torque values / procedures for the wishbones, driveshafts, etc.? As already noted, its a custom framework supporting the rear end and custom radius arms, so removal and refurbishment of the custom parts might need a bit of guesswork.

E-Type Haynes manual is a decent resource.

Some of what's there looks like E type, but those 'braces' adjacent to the mufflers (first photo) are not part of any E type I'm aware of. The cross brace in the second photo doesn't look familiar either.

It looks like someone used an e type rear end in some kind of dragstrip car? racer? Will be interesting to learn what it is in!

i have the rear end out and on the ground. the parts we think are needed:
1. left and right rear hub seals inner and outer
2. left and right rear hub bearings inner and outer
3. two rear brake caliper rebuild kits (Dunlap)
4. rear caliper pads
5. two rear parking brake return springs
6. four coil over rear shocks (not too stiff)
7. lower control arm bushings
8. sway bar links

a list of possible sources would be of great help.

Doing a 70 IRS myself now and searching for all the parts for a complete rebuild your probably going to find SNG the best for one stop shopping. Also If the order is over $100 they usually do not charge shipping while every one else's shipping is hefty in my opinion. Note that Moss and SNG, and a few others, have been bought out by an investment firm so part prices themselves are pretty much the same except for occasional sales. Welsh Jaguar in Ohio is a good source for salvage parts as they part out many vehicles and have knowledgeable staff while RWAutoClassics .com on the west coast posts a lot of salvaged parts on EBAY. Lastly I understand there is a lot of info on the Cobra car forums as many people convert Jag rear ends for those cars. Best of Luck!
