I just bought the remote rear brake bleeders for a 1974 e type roadster. Can they be installed on the car without dropping the rear end? It seems a tight fit.
On my 1965 Series 1 I bleed the brakes without a remote bleeder. I remove the front shock absorber (front of the rear pair each side) to improve access to the brake caliper. Maybe use that trick to get better access to the rear brakes to install the remote bleeder? HTH, Dave
On all long wheelbase E-Types (which includes all S3's, regardless of body type), there are access panels in the rear bulkhead that allow you to reach the brake bleeders from inside the car.
I see this thread is over a month old. Any update for to adding the remote bleeders? I waking up my '67 2+2 after a 5 year sleep and am thinking I may need to bleed the Blakes. I've held them in the past with much difficulty (rears) and I like the comment about removing the forward shock on the rear to gain additional access.
Where did you purchase your remote kit?
