Default Series 2 S Type Engine Deck Height Question

I'm having my engine evaluated for a rebuild. It passed magnaflux testing and overall looks pretty good for 98K. Cylinders have enough for +.10 to +.20 bores and will get new pistons however there is a slight deck warp. Can someone tell me the specs for the deck height and acceptable mill spec if needed. Thanks

I don't know the figures you are asking for, but can you tell us the warp measure. A warp detected on the deck implies the crankshaft bearing housings are not in line too.

The warp , measured with a straight edge is estimated at about 5 thousands so maybe 6 to 7 to clean it off or just a couple to clean it up more.

That does sound OK to me, although I'm not an auto engineer, but when you get the engine rebuilt, it will be worth checking the main bearings line-up.

I'm picking up my magnufluxed and cleaned block and oil pan today. Pretty sure now its a good candidate for the rebuild. I've narrowed down the builders from 5 guys, 2 in the US and 3 in Canada, to 2 in Canada. I'll be working with them on the next steps to choose one and get the actual rebuild started. Thanks for all the feed back. More to come I'm sure.
