I am new to this E-Type forum, but not new to Jaguars. I’ve been a lover of the marque since I was a boy. I currently have a Series 3 Vanden Plas, an XJS convertible, and an ‘02 XJR.

A Series 3 E-Type convertible has been my dream car since I was a teenager. I’ve been scouring the internet for buying advice. Is there a checklist available I can bring with me when I go look at a car? I haven’t found one. There is a lot to look for and I want to be thorough.

Also, is there a mechanic in the Salt Lake City area who knows these cars? I’m going to look at a car and would want a buyer’s inspection, if I end up liking the car.
