Serpentine belt to the pump was missing. Installed it, fired I up, and got power steering for about 5 seconds. Went out to look and it was puked all over the floor. Loaded some more to see where it was coming from and it is a broken seal on the steering rack.

I see there is a seal kit for it. How hard is it to rebuild/reseal that?

 

Nobody here has rebuilt these racks themselves?

 

Try XKs Unlimited, they typically have the parts for a rebuild and may be able to walk you through it. I didn't want the hastle so converted to a manual rack and replaced it.
