Question Timing Mark - 1974 E-type

I have just gone thru a complete ignition tune up, including a new vacuum retard unit but I have not been able to locate the timing mark on the front crank pulley so I can use a timing light; it seems to be completely covered with radiator, hoses, etc. I have tried mirrors, video camera, etc., to no avail. Any suggestions as to another method for setting the retard/advance?

The timing mark is visible from below, you may need to thoroughly clean the crank pulley then carefully examine with good light to see the indentions. Once found they can be repainted. Many SIII owners block the retard, and remove the gulp valve and air rails unless you compete in championship class concours.

Default E-type Series III timing mark

Thank you for your input. I will clean and look for the timing mark from below but I worry I may not see the small tab or index mark. The gulp valve, air induction rails and air pump were removed a few days after I purchased the car new in 1974. I never missed them.

In its later years, the car did not seem to run well until I recently replaced the vacuum module. The car runs very well now but the timing was only adjusted by "feel" and I am concern I will cause some damage.
