Default Unhooked wires after restoration shop finishes.

Wires not hooked up after restoration shop finishes. Any idea where they go? Thanks for your help.

Same thing, wires not hooked up. No interior lights, no map light, no instrument lights, no horn, etc. Thanks

It would be helpful to know what year and body type (roadster or coupe) you have. Jaguar tended to use the same wiring harness on both body types so if your car is a roadster some of those wires are likely for the rear defroster installed on the coupes, so they're not connected to anything on the convertibles.

This is a 1974 XKE OTS. Also where are the wires for the horn and the light dim to bright switch on the turn signal. Thanks

If you're referring to the high/low beam switch that's a toggle switch on the panel to the left of the steering wheel (it's not part of the turn signal) so those wires run behind the dash, not to the steering wheel. It's also possible a couple of your loose wires go the the instruments dimmer - that rheostat is on the left side of the black radio metal radio housing. I can see where it might have gotten missed on reassembly. Not sure about the horn but I expect those join the wiring harness near the ignition switch on the steering column.

Thank you for your help, the instruments have no lights, apparently not hooked up. I assume you take the panel off the side of the console where the rheostat is located. I will try that. Any good wire diagrams available? Thanks

To remove the radio housing:
1. Remove the two chrome bolts, one on each side
2. Pull off the radio knobs and unscrew the retaining nuts on the radio controls
3. pull the panel straight out

As to the wiring diagram, here's a good one but non factory so can't vouch 100% for the accuracy:

Here is a link to commonly used British wiring colors... may help if you are still trying to figure them out:

Do you know if the bulbs in the instruments work?

Here's a photo, showing some of the bulbs and these have a red/white stripe like your 'unknowns"
