Installed new windshield from Moss new gasket and locking seal. everything went relatively well. I guess it took a total of 2 1/2 hours. we installed the top chrome and the rod for for the mirror. We left it for the night and came back this AM to find it had a crack from the top chrome channel to within 3 inches from the cowl. As anyone had a similar experience or a guess how this would have happened?

 

They are notorious for breaking on all models, largely because of the degree of curvature. Although the fitting went well, if the screen was just slightly under too much tension it could crack.
