I've seen this decal once or twice on Jags but have never discovered its significance. As you can see, it is big and black. I think there is something written below the word "Jaguar" but am not sure. (This picture is a screen shot from a Jag for sale on eBay Motors.) Is it a club decal? Something produced by a parts supplier? I can't seem to find out anything on the web. Thanks!

 

I've seen it a numerous Jags, all 60s-early 70s if I remember correctly.

My guess is it was something that all the cars got when the came to the USA. Perhaps 'port installed' ?

Or perhaps other markets as well? I dunno. Foggy memory....but I think it was a USA thing

Anyhow, I don't think it has anything to do with club membership....as the club name would surely be mentioned

Someone who actually knows something will come along
