Now that a late model XJ can be acquired for the cost of a new XF, I'm debating which car to get -- XF for its handling/ride comfort or XJ for its stunning looks (the XF interior looks low-rent to me, but the XJ ride can be rough).

Decision, decision..

XJ > XF (especially if its the pre-facelift model)

 

Pre-facelift XJ is the only one I'd personally consider.

Since they fixed the headlight design on the XF, it's better looking than ever.

 

Well it's a good question and worth another go-around, so:

XJ - that sleek, long rear section is unlike anything else on the road.

 

The XF. No, the XJ. No prolly the XF. I would buy the XJ.

Sounds about right. To me, XF is the best looking car in its class, and XJ is impressive in a way that seems to go beyond looks. I have seen only navy or black XJs, and in those colours they have presence in traffic, whereas XF is obviously a just a car. I could see Mr. Smith driving an XJ in The Matrix.
