Default Badge Restoration ?

Hello Folks, Just picked up a 02 xkr, the car is in really good condition and low miles, I'm very happy with it and took some time to find the one I wanted.

So now comes the touchups,
The Badges are somewhat 'oxidized' and faded. The question is this surface only or does it go thru the badge, Especially the Leaper on each side in from of the Doors. I wanted to know if these can be 'restored' or cleaned up. I thought I'd ask before I jump in with my polishing kit in case someone knew some tricks.

I could take some polishing compound and my dremil and start in but any help would be appreciated.

Hey there buddy, you would be better asking this in the detailing section to be honest.

Try there and I'm sure you'll get some good sound advice.

Good luck

I tried to refinish my hazy leaper badges and had no luck. I gave in and ordered new ones off ebay. Same for wheel centers. If you keep an eye out, they can be found cheap. I bought a set of brand new wheel centers for about 35.00.
