Ive got a MY99 xj8 that im repainting and basically restoring, since the rear quarter was replaced and now starting to rust under the tail light, i was wondering how different MY04+ tail lights are.

I have looked up the images for the headlights.

I have added some pictures from the taillights for you.

First picture is a 2004 x350 taillight
Second picture is a 99 xj8 taillight
Third and last pictures is again a 2004 x350 taillight

I have no reason to believe that they would fit easily in each others casing / mounting point.

Depends how far you want to go..... I have fitted XF lights into XKs.... At the end of he day you can fit almost anything if you put our mind to it

 

Someone has replaced my rear quarter and since then the seam sealer has cause terrible rust issues and since I'm in there doin a bunch of repairs I figured I'd do some custom work. I know it needs work to make them fit, I just was trying to figure out if I needed all new buckets or if they had a similar size I could modify the existing ones.
