2.0 diesel (Ingenium) engine replacement
Hi,
I have a 2018 2.0 diesel which had a faulty injector which has in turn caused internal engine damage (specifics to be confirmed on strip down). Has anyone come across this before? I'm assuming this is a new engine job so any advice would be much appreciated.
A bit more detail, the car has done 72k, it was running fine and then went to start and it wouldn't, tried a fair few times to start so maybe with the faulty injector this caused the internal damage.
Thanks,
Bill

the diesels did have fuel injector issues. You can seriously damage the cylinder walls or the tops of the Pistons. you would normally see fuel dilution in oil samples if one fails.
