2017 FPace Model S
Hey Forum users:
I have a 2017 model S FPace with 23k miles.
There is a clicking and or ticking noise coming from the engine when idling. It is getting louder.
starting to sound like a diesel.
Dealer says this is normal for Jag and Range Rover.
It doesn't sound right.
In the old days it would sound like a bad lifter.
Any ideas?

Hi William,
1. My 3.0L diesel is very quiet and fast (0-60mph in 6 secs) for a diesel. I also achieve 40mpg. A lot of us drive diesels in Australia. Petrol/Diesel is much more expensive than in the USA. I'm guessing you're in the USA.
2. Never believe the dealer. They will tell you lies as they empty your wallet.
3. Find a good independent mechanic in your area.
4. Let us know where you are located and perhaps another member can point you to a a reliable indie in your area.
Cheers
