Default 2018 f pace p0366 crankshaft sensor code

1rst code report. Changed sensor.

2nd code report. After changing sensor and swapping sensor. What can be the issue. The car starts every other start really rough and sometimes no issues.

I'm aware of 4 cylinder motors needing timing chain service up around that kind of mileage. Any chance that's what you're wrestling with?

Have it check by an ASE mechanic.

You should have this checked by a professional.
As a Porsche/Audi tech this looks very similar to VVT CAM OIL CONTROL VALVE issues.
Could be a timing chain/guide issue too.

I just went through this on a customers 2018 4 cylinder (107k miles) AWD 2.0 gasoline Ingenium engine. We had performed a TSB pertaining to the solenoids on the rear of the cylinder head. Still had the P0366 code afterwards. My boss replaced both vvt cam gears, secondary timing chain, guides and hydraulic tensioner. Still had the same P0366 code after the repair. I was told to replace the main timing chain, both guides and hydraulic tensioner. I triple checked the timing of the primary and secondary chains along with the crank/cam gears position to make 100% sure that mechanical timing was not going to be an issue. *Still* had the same P0366 code afterwards. We had our off site tech support reset adaptations as it’s required (according to JLR) per their instructions. P0366 code was still there. I had performed an oil & filter change just after I did the main chain just an fyi. There was no sludge buildup inside the engine. After some more thought processes, I was scanning the procedures about the cam gears and I looked on the previous repair order and saw no parts mentioning the cam gear bolts. THIS was our fix.
You can see the location of the 4 holes has changed.

There’s a difference in there too.

Updated part number.

Is it possible that if one was to replace both the cam gear bolts with only the new bolts would the code clear??? 🤷‍♂️
You still need a very special set of timing tools, torque wrench *and* a specific degree torque wrench also. Keep in mind that all the timing components are at the rear of the engine. I forgot to include that oil passes through these bolts and is controlled by the solenoids mentioned earlier. Replacing these are not for a beginner. I hope this helps somebody.
