Disengage auto stop/start 2017 (& Later) F-Pace
This Auto stop/start feature does appear to be common to many makes of current vehicle. Can someone who owns & drives the F-Pace tell me if this feature still occurs when towing or a trailer is attached ?

I, too, do not appreciate the 'Start/Stop' function and wish it were not there to begin with. But, how hard is it to just turn the darn thing off when you get in the vehicle and start the engine? I've made it second nature when getting into the vehicle every day and now it's just automatic and is no big deal. Much better than ripping out panels, disconnecting wires, etc., etc. and not to mention what it could do to a resale value......

Are you saying there is an existing option (switch) to turn the AUTO Stop/Start... On or Off ?

Are folks really that lazy ??
It's about making the vehicle work the way you want it to... if you wanna push the button every time then do it. If you want a permanent fix then here's the solution. "resale value" WTF are you blabbing about.... takes all of 10 minutes to do and same to redo if you think it will kill your resale value. Talk about lazy.
The objective is to unplug one plug from the voltage quality module located in the right pillar of the 2017 F-Pace that effectively disengages the auto stop/start feature.
1. Remove fuse cover and right rear tie-down.
2. Carefully pull back the weather strip along the right pillar.
3. Pull carpet lining down and out in order to expose inside of pillar.
4. You will now see the module. You may need a flashlight. In order to get back to the start/stop plug, you need to first remove the larger plug that is blocking access to the smaller plug behind it.
5. Unplug and secure stop/start plug. Re-attach large plug.
1. Just roll back edge of weather strip, ease carpet out.
2. Suggest remove screw under rear seat back lever, pull panel jently straight out-hust the rear portion-it pulls straight out-has spring clips.
3. Pull one push-pin out just above fuse box.
4. PLUGS-the black and white connectors-push down on clip right where clips butts up to plug body. The small plug you're after, the licking clip is on the fender side-push down on end of clip where WIRES come into plug and pull straight off.
I did this 2 weeks ago, works fine, wasted more time getting plugs off than doing the rest of the procedure. Thanks for those contributing to turning off this annoying feature.

Don't understand that, I have over 3 weeks with mine disconnected, no issues at all with mine.

the battery drain isn't associated with disconnecting the sensor as described here... suggest you reconnect and let sit for another couple days to see if the battery is weak to confirm. or just assume causation over association like batshit92
Best way would be to get the Velocity AP tuner, it has the option to disable the start/stop function, not free but at least you get more HP, and you can always put it back to stock before going to the dealer if need be.

Now that this thread is couple of years old, I figured I would ask.
Had anyone found a reason not to do this?
My 2020 svr has different color wires, but everything else seems the same and pulling the plug seems to only kill the damn Start/Stop thing.
Thanks
