Disengage auto stop/start 2017 (& Later) F-Pace
I was incorrect. After I was checking/unchecking some boxes in the menu, the stop/start feature quit working and I figured this was somehow related to what I did.
My console light stays on but the feature has quit working. I'm okay with that happening.

Just did this on our 2020 F-Pace S .... works as described. Thank you!
Starting the car is what causes the most engine damage and having the vehicle do it at every stop light is not good. Glad someone figured this out. I saw in some other threads that there was a way to do this through the ODBC and system computer, but the Jaguar dealer played dumb and won't do it.

Dealership is not allowed to disable it as it's an emissions compliance issue. Even if they wanted to, coding changes are handled by engineering, not the dealership, so they can't turn it off if they wanted to, and unplugging the VQM isn't really an approved repair.
I do agree that the feature is terrible, i turn it off when I get in my cars every time. I have a neat little plug in on my S4 that basically pushes the button for you every time, or you can turn it off with a tune, but that's not really an option for most people.
As far as starting causing damage, the system used to restart the engine and the conditions it has to meet to allow an Eco stop/start, is not causing any damage. It just feels like garbage to have the engine die at a stop sign.
