Default Mud flaps?

I ordered a 2023 F-Pace SVR but now I cannot decide if I should have mud flaps installed. My thoughts are if it was necessary, then it would’ve been included in the build, but it is a dealer installed item after delivery if I am interested. My other thought is that I live in Massachusetts so winters usually snowy with slushy roads and it might help protect the car from debris. Then I can decide to have just front, just rear, or both. I have not seen any SVR with mud flaps , so any insight would be greatly appreciated. P.S. My delivery date is February, so peak snow season in New England.

No! That'd ruin the streamlined design and sleek styling. Mud flaps are for trucks. I do like how the dealer who sold me mine precisely matched the factory tint on the front windows when they tinted them after I explicitly told them not to, though. Really looks like it came that way. So I might let them squeeze that in, if it's legal where you live.

I also have a 2023 SVR (and also in MA). I get a bit of mud splash behind the wheels but it's all plastic rear bumper behind the back wheel and the front arch has a protective rim. So I don't think it's a problem

I'm just working out winter tires and wheels for mine - I typically run a separate set of rims for the winter

It's a terrific car - had it 5 months now and enjoying it!

I like my F-Pace SVR so much I thought about selling my Mercedes and daily driving it. Does suck down gas around town but it almost idles at highway speed so that's really not as bad as I thought it'd be. I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep an EV though just in case WW3 breaks out and gas goes to $20/gallon... maybe the government should mandate they all drive electric tanks. You know, to save the planet from global warming.

Our F-Pace is an "S" model, not an SVR, if that makes any difference. I wasn't sure about the "splash guards", initially, so I didn't order them with the car. Afterward, I had second thoughts, and purchased them through my dealer, and installed them myself. IMHO, they'll save the rocker panels from damage by debris kicked up from the tires. However, since the "kick up" is so short, in the rear of the car, I only put them on the front. They're pretty subtle.
