Default OTA Updates

Anyone had problems with the OTA updates, the infotainment update works perfectly but the vehicle update just puts up an eternally spinning symbol.
(See picture)
It's been to the dealer a couple of times and they don't seem to have much idea, they say they have updated through the OBD port but the OTA is still the same.

I thought I hadn't seen this on mine. Owner's Handbook shows:

When a new software update is available, a notification will display on the touchscreen upon starting or switching off the vehicle. .......... Note: Availability of over the air updates may vary depending on market and vehicle specification.

I've never had such a notification so either my vehicle specification or market doesn't qualify.

What could be interfering with your update is JLR data server connectivity issues before and during the holiday period. My InControl is usually robust and reliable but there's been several times in the last four weeks where the app could not connect (via JLR) to the vehicle for lengthy periods. Apparently a vehicle also needs to be associated to an active InControl account for an OTA update. No such problems with subscription renewal on New Year's Day. Grabbed the payment very efficiently.

Thanks Graham, I'll maybe call JLR and see if they can shed some light on it.

Norri - yours looks like the InControl system? We have that on our Land Rover and it never says it has an update. I just go to the menu and check for updates and can run it manually. It's a bit clunky - sometimes says there is no update after a new one comes out (think they stagger the release) and sometimes gets stuck searching. But it works in the end

The notification on shutting down is on the Pivi Pro. I have that in the F Pace and I've had it do that twice in the 6 months I've owned it (incl last week). You then shut and lock the doors and it runs and updates.

Btw the Jaguar app issue is a known problem and has been an issue with the app connectivity for the past month or so. On both the Jag and the LR apps

I have the exact same problem on my 2018 E-PACE. I have version 21B on ICTP but I neither see vehicle software info or receive update or message like "The software is on last version" as ICTP when i check updates. Just loading eternally.

In the official workshops they have never been able to tell me what is wrong or solve it.
