Default TPMS sensor reset 23 F Pace 250s

Hi, l have a 2023 FPace 250S. The tire sensor went off and I adjusted the air pressure (was at 35 when recommended is 42? I set it at 38.5 psi. I have 2 questions:
Is 38.5psi good enough? I said okay to warning but light is still on. Service said keep driving and the light will go off, there is no reset button. Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks.

You can change the TPMS parameters using the instrument panel menu.
Navigate to the vehicle settings and select light load.

Yes. It will go off by itself. But why not use the recommended pressures? Better for fuel economy too.

Well, they have a sticker on the door - that should be the recommended correct? That is 42 PSI, but the tires (per Jaguar were at 34 PSI). When I called and asked them which I should use, the said they recomment 33-36. So I asked why does the sticker say 42 - no answer.
What is it with Jaguar? I had an Audi before them. The sticker was the recoemmneded and the TPMS, once IiInfalated by tires, I would reset the warning myself on the panel.

That sounds odd. The sticker is there for a reason and I use that. 33 sounds low...

The Land Rover models and I think the F pace allows you to specify 'light load' in the menu and use a lower pressure matched to the tpms. But I've never seen the point.

Go with 42 lbs., as stated you will get better MPG and crisper handling.
