Default 2 ftypes, 2 new diffs >10k kms

Hey @all, been reading these forums for a while now, this is my first post. I have a fully optioned silver ftype s (2016) x demo - previously had a 2014 base model (new).

Bit of history/context
I had just completed a road trip (MEL to Canberra return) and noticed a 'wirring' noise every time i went over 92kms and had my foot on the gas. Take it off, or drop below 92kms and it would go away. I took it into Jaguar and they said it was a diff noise and swapped out the oil and gave it back to me. Not surprisingly on the first drive home the noise was still there, so I did a uturn and went back and they ordered a new diff. Had to wait a while as no stock in Australia. I was told it was the first one that had been replaced by the dealership and it was 'unheard of'.

Problem is, i now have another F Type, upgraded to a fully optioned S and absolutely love it. Similar story I took it on a road trip and on the way back my partner was sleeping (turned the exhaust 'off' and no radio) and i noticed the same noise - thought i was hearing things to be honest but it was definitely there. Exactly the same scenario too - only came on above 92kms and under load. Took it into Jaguar and the tech said it was a diff noise and was told that a replacement was necessary (no testing of oil or anything). Again I was told this is 'unheard of' - but I am skeptical as its now 2 for 2!

I guess my question(s) is, is this 'common'? I have searched the forums and there isn't that much chatter about it - again im onto my second FType and ive had two diffs replaced >10,000 kms on the clock.

Second question - the current fix is an 'out of warranty fix' by Jaguar who agreed to cover the cost (2 months out of warranty) (i did mention consumer affairs when it was declined on the first submission) - is there any secondary damage I should be concerned about? i.e can driving on this faulty diff have caused other issues that if not picked up now ill need to deal with (out of warranty) when I get the car back?

Thanks for your help!

I don't know how common it is, but my differential was also replaced. S trim, so mechanical LSD.

Never heard of this noise/problem before, and strange it would happen at smack on 92 km/h on both cars.
Also the base did not have a LSD but the S does so two completely different diffs, the plot thickens!
Zero diff noise on my 2014 V6S which is about to hit 50,000 km.
