Default 20" Gyrodyne Black & Diamond Wheels Price?

I have a new set of 20" Gyrodyne Black & Diamond Wheels that I decided to replace with aftermarket wheels. The wheels have about 1000 miles on them and I had them coated with Modesta BC-06 protective coating when brand new.

I'm debating if I want to keep them for snow tires or if its worth the effort to sell them. The factory wheel upgrade cost was $1000 and the modesta coating another $500. What is a fair price for these on the aftermarket?

This place has it at $600/wheel: Jaguar F Type | Midwest Wheel and Tire | New and Used OEM Wheels
So base on that I would say $2000-$3000 for the set depending on condition, how much tread is left, etc.

Oh how I wish you were in California. I have the silver Gyrodynes and would work out price if you were willing to do a swap since they would be your winter wheels!

I'm not sure Midwest's prices truly reflect the demand for OEM wheels. Midwests' prices are actually higher than MSRP for certain NEW rims from a Jaguar Dealer.
To each his own though.

When you say OEM price for new wheels what do you mean? Are you referring to the cost of purchasing new wheels only from a JLR dealer or are you talking about the option prices, which are just add ons to MSRP from the included standard for whatever model? My quote from the dealer was a heck of a lot higher than from Midwest.

I purchased from Midwest a complete package including Gyrodynes, mounted and balanced with OEM PZeros and TPMS sensors for $3200, shipped.

I'm referring to just the RIM itself. No tires, no TPMS, and no shipping and on certain models.

So am I.

It would have cost me hell of a lot more than $3200 to buy the wheels and TPMS sensors from a JLR dealer, to buy a set of OEM PZeros, and then paid to have them mounted and balanced.

Just some food for thought... If you want a set of winter RIMs, you'd have a far greater selection of winter or even all season tires if you dropped to a 19 inch.

I would sell the wheels only (no tires/sensors) for $2k plus shipping if anyone is interested. I'm no longer considering snow tires so not interested in any trades. Even though I have the AWD, I realize I'm not going to drive it in the snow as it only snows a few days/weeks a year locally.

Thanks for the info.

I might be interested in the wheels for the right price. What will you take for the set?

If in perfect condition, some V6 owner will be happy to get them at that price.

It is a fair price, but not a fire-sale price. By the time you purchased tires, OEM TPMS sensors, and had them mounted and balanced, you'd be at approx $3500.

I bought a set of Gyrodynes, with TPMS sensors and OEM P-Zeros, mounted and balanced from Midwest Tire and Wheel for $3200 shipped, but they were 100 mile take-offs from an R Coupe.

That's not an unreasonable difference.
