I order this one and the main cable is too short to even reach both the screen and the system between the seats.
Correction: I was wrong. There's small hole you can struggle and feed the cable through. You just have to take off the climate controls and the metal box behind that.

Its been about 2 months since I've installed the unit and its now its smack dab in the middle of summer in Southern California (105 degrees) and the unit has been working without issues.
PROS:
- The steering wheel mounted controls (track forward/back and volume work)
- Install took about an hour
- The additional EQ settings on the CarPlay module makes a world of difference in sound quality especially in Meridian mode
- OEM microphone retained
- Call quality improved
- Excellent value compared UAD, GTA units
NEUTRAL/CONS:
- I still haven't figured out the mirroring vs linking CarPlay option
- The directions on what settings the dip switches need to be are not correct and took me several tries to figure out the right combination
- When toggling to CarPlay from the OEM Jaguar Infotainment screen, it occasionally triggers Siri..not a big deal
- I wish the wiring harness was "reversed" so that the unit can put in the dead space between the seats behind the panel vs tucking it between the carpet and transmission tunnel
I tried this unit upon seeing this thread's positive comments. However, on my 2016R w/ Bosch, the module's UI freezes whenever Dynamic Mode is in ‘My setup’. Dynamic Mode need not even be on; just the underlying setting is 'My setup'. Did you run into this issue? Thanks. Video

Yes. This has been previously documented. You lose the ability to custom setup dynamic mode. You are restricted to the factory defaults for Dynamic.
It’s not just this box. All the CarPlay upgrade boxes have this limitation. Several threads on this can be found if interested.
So I'm ready to pull the trigger on this one as I want OEM mic and steering wheel controls which seem to be lost on UniqueAuto. My concern is UniqueAuto has 3 versions, 2 different versions for Bosch, early and late. I seem to have the early Bosch based on my clock and no graphic images in the screen, will this unit work with the early Bosch?
So I purchased and installed the CarPlay system on my 2017 convertible. Much more complicated than doing the upgrade on the coupe but got it done. Is anyone experiencing any issues with customizing and arranging the icons on the unit? I experiences no issues connecting to my iPhone but when I go under CarPlay on my phone to arrange the icons it does not show up under “My Cars” instead the CarPlay shows up under “other Cars” and I can’t access it to modify the icons. Tried resetting phone and CarPlay system but no luck. Any recommendations?

I have just ordered the Carlinklife kit for delivery to Canada. I can offer some up to date information for anyone with a 2015 Bosch. From what I gather there are two versions of the Bosch and I must have the earlier version. After fully installing and troubleshooting like crazy with CarLinkLife the kit they shipped would not work as-is with my car, it just had a black screen. They said this was because I needed to remove the map SD card but on my car I have not been able to find any resource saying where that is other than maybe in the trunk somewhere if I wanted to remove all of the trim and lining for the trunk. It's not in the modules under the armrest.
So CarLinkLife offered to ship me another unit that they said would work exactly the same but not have that problem. I just installed that version today and it went smoothly except for the steering wheel buttons, I can use the volume buttons but the track forward and back do not work. That's disappointing because it's what made me choose CarLinkLife and the specifically said when they were sending me this second unit that it would work with those buttons. I did send them a message about this about 7 hours ago so maybe there is a solution out there but no response yet.

I also just found a video on youtube where somebody bought an USB extension cable towards the centerconsole. This way you do not have any dangling cables in the footwell. Looked really nice. See below:
Will do, this is my second F-type, you will likely love the car and catch the Jag bug. There is a great facebook group called F-Type Forever car Club as well. They do a Tail of the Dragon run every May. I was at the first one and plan on heading back to this one. Thanks for the video i will have a look.
Received my Carlinklife unit today, very quickly for standard shipping, 8 days from order. not very well packaged and the box was crushed. Driver never asked for any payment so I am still waiting to see if there are any taxes or duties due? The actual unit looks okay so as soon as I can free a bit of time I will get it installed. I will update as soon as its in.
Installation assistance please. I have everything apart and no way in the world can i get the cable to reach the rear. A couple of odd things, I have a control box behind the AC controls that I haven't seen in any other videos, pic attached. I wonder do I have different plastics as their is also no hole to feed the cables through where the AC controls go, I have to go in further behind. Lastly the cable is 26inches from the end of the connector that is suppose to plug in the rear control to the end of the connector for their box.
Messaging back and forth with Carlinklife and must say their customer service is good. They are sending me a new cable, I am however contemplating just extending this one myself while the car is apart rather than wait. My existing cable is just too short from what I can tell

do you think the cable is too short since you do not have the opening? Or is it way too short?
