Default 2015 jaguar f type r V8 AUDIO ISSUES! HELP!

Good morning, Everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with my radio, which intermittently cuts in and out and produces a popping sound. This problem occurs regardless of the source, whether it is radio (FM/AM), Bluetooth, AUX, or USB resulting in inconsistent and unreliable sound from the speakers.

For your reference, anyone who responds and needs video of my issue please respond with an email address, and I will more than happily send it over.

Thank you all in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Kind regards,
Jon

Sounds like a dodgy wiring connection. How long have you had the car and has it only just started doing it?

Thank you for the response!

I've had it about a year and a half!

Yes, only recently.

I pulled the back plate off arm rest and used air duster to clean connections to radio. However, still some issues.

Any other suggestions? I was thinking of purchasing an apple car play adapter has anyone had any success using these?

My thought as well. Was there any work done before the problem appeared? I always start with that when troubleshooting, even if it seems unrelated.

Thank you,

Any additional places you recommend to check wiring?

Diagrams and locations are welcome (trunk, dashboard, etc)

Kind regards,
Jon

I'd start with the trunk since that's where the power comes from. Wiggle the battery cables and see if they're tight. The one time I had an issue it was that. Wiggle the all the wires that bolt down back there and ensure the connections are solid. There are some grounds (attached to car body) and a big power bus. If you need to put a wrench to anything to tighten it, disconnect the battery first (standard procedure for car electrics).

I haven't had any of the interior apart, so can't speak to that.

Thank you so much for the help!

I've also read where pulling away some truck paneling could help reach the amplifier to check wiring there.

Is this difficult to do? I can't find any video on it. Is this something you would advise?
