Default 2015 Jaguar F Type S drive by

Had the wife film me doing a couple drive by's in my 2015 Jaguar F Type S. Best stock exhaust sound ever IMO.

While I agree with you and prefer the exotic sound of the V6 in this car, put your helmet on because the R people are going to start coming after you.

On second thought... just asking for trouble.

Edited.

Sounds great. Sounds like a Harley at around 15 seconds.

Lol Foosh. The V8 defiantly sounds mean but the first time I heard that V6 exhaust note I knew which model I wanted. Biernut asking for trouble?

My post, not you.

I had made a post that I thought was funny, but didn't want to start any drama so I edited it.

The V8 sounds mean, the V6 sounds sweet. Sue me.

At full throttle the S is actually 4 decibels louder than the R. See "2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe: Tunnel Blasting and Decibel Readings" at:

I've read similar articles that rate the F-Type less loud than say a Porsche Cayman S....while I don't dispute the rating, I just find it not to be the case in the real world. So maybe peak decibel rating is different than actual real world loudness?

guys please use caution ----a tertiary road at 70 (the spoiler was up) with driveways (? children/pets etc) can be dangerous

plmmd speed limit on that road is 55mph and yes I let up right as the spoiler was coming up which is 70mph. 15 mph wont even usually get you pulled where I live. Its defiantly not a road that anybody ever walks on or across. Cars and motorcycles regularly do 100+mph on that road. I don't speed often anyway and actually have a perfect driving record and insurance only runs me $80 a month

it looked like a local side street with driveways etc 55mph would be a surprisingly high limit from the looks of it

I work in the communist state of NY city where unless its an official marked highway the mandated speed limit is 25mph.

I love the R-sound, it was great on the Jaguar track day I did.

I love my V6S, definitely the best sounding 6 on the planet. Yesterday a guy on a Harley pulled alongside at a light and said "let's here it" so I switched on Dynamic and gave him a taste, downshifted at just over the legal limit. Did it twice. Got a nice "thumbs up'

If there were no speed limits, cops or other cars on the road I'd want the V8R.

In my world, the V6 rocks enough for me.

plmmd that sounds horrible and TR64ever everybody seems to love the look and sound of the F type S. I'm surprised however that he could even hear your exhaust over his own lol.

I think it has to do with the tone of the V6 exhaust note. I've been told multiple times while on drives with other cars that my car is by far the loudest to the ear. This is in a group including a CLK63 Black Series with straight pipes that is well above the 95 dB(A) legal limit here in CA.
