2016 F-Type R Won't Start
Yes, thank you, I did notice; but I think the comment is just as relevant now as it would have been then, don't you?
If there is an embargo against passing comments on posts over 8 years old, perhaps the Search return should say so?
And the content doesn't really have a use-by date does it, so why should the comment?
Many of my cars I have had for over 40 years, and I am still interested in peoples' comments about them, if relevant.
Best regards
JT

2) @DJS—a close friend and highly esteemed member of this community—meant no harm. He was, surely, just making a comment. (We’ve often made light of some posts which someone replied to—quite old ones at that—which aren’t all that relevant. Perhaps asking a question of someone who likely sold his car years ago. As an example). I still get PM’s asking me if they can join the 2016 Jaguar F-Type Lobster Run.

I didn’t reread all of the old thread, but it looked like that dated to before we discovered a bug/feature of the electronics, which fails to shut down properly after an improperly shut down OBD session. That’s been discussed many times in more recent threads - not acknowledged by JLR, but witnessed by many forum members.
If it’s not turning over, it’s a battery or starter. If it is turning over, it’s probably the fuel pump.
