Its been a few years since I posted that JLR had released a fix for the fuel filler neck on the F-TYPE.

Having just picked up a 2017, I would think that the revised filler neck would have been installed at the factory. My car is exhibiting difficulty filling at gas stations. Anyone else with newer F-TYPEs having the same issue?

 

Never had any issues filling my MY18.

 

Only on one occasion for my 2017 and having read about this previously, flipping the nozzle upside down stopped it from repeatedly shutting off.

 

Just replaced a filler neck on a 17 last week. Just because it doesnt fall under a certain VIN, doesnt mean there is still issues. Could be another issue with a canister or DMTL pump. Took me some basic diagnostic disconnect and filling to pinpoint new neck.

 

FWIW, I had no issues with my '16 until the past six months or so...it just got a replacement neck while I had it in for the 60K mile well-baby/warranty-ending checkup...
