2017 SVR coupe moving to the beach
I'm potentially moving from Denver to the Oregon coast this winter. My SVR has been ceramic coated with the hood and skirts clear braed.
Anyone have their F-type at/near the salt-water? Any major rusting issues yet?
I'm actually considering selling it before I move (hate to have such a nice car get ruined by the salt).
Thanks,
Mike L

There are some threads or posts around here about bad rust on certain chassis/suspension/underbody parts, possibly due to road salt and definitely made worse by Jag's substandard and/or non-existent rust proofing on the steel parts of the underbody.
So it would probably pay to get a good quality under-body rust proofing done.
No rust or oxidation reported elsewhere on all the alooooominum parts.

@mlebofsky I would check the body support braces under the car NOW. They rust easily.
We coated ours with POR-15 two years ago and it is holding up well.

For those of us who have listed near the ocean for some time, don't believe your concerns are warranted. While beach living can be hard on house paint, I've never see an similar impact on automotive surfaces. As I think someone said below, the real culprit is salted roads in icy and snowy conditions. Don't see that as a big factor where you're going. And one other thing, rocking and rolling roads in that part of the country, with an active car enthusiast nation...beautiful Jag-driving times in your future.
