Default 2018 Jaguar F Type Convertible, CarPlay Module Install Guide For Rear Head Units

Hello everyone,

I post a bit of do it yourself stuff on my youtube channel and I thought I would do one of this as there really aren’t many, or possibly any videos for rear head unit installs.
Be extra careful when you check your existing connections before you order, as it can cause you a lot of headaches and delays.

This does not require the removal of the display screen but it does require the removal of the rear trim which is actually very easy in my opinion.
I hope it helps someone. 🍻

thanks for posting. What brand/model carplay box are you using? I've not seen one with a seperate toggle switch.

My pleasure. It’s called Carnavi. I am going to return this thing though. It just does not seem to work reliably. But regardless, the install guide may still help somebody I suppose. Lol.

Did you check to see if they have any firmware updates? Seems like a lot of this class of device may not work well right out of the box.

Actually, after extensive time spent messing with the toggle switches, I found a configuration that seems to reliably work.
I’ll be keeping this after all. It works very well.
