That's for sure. You should have seen the meltdown that took place when Nissan updated the GTR in 2017. Despite it being a subtle update that was an improvement by any objective measure, people freaked out and called it "ugly as %@#$!" and "an abortion." I thought some people were going to need therapy. But once people started seeing it in person, suddenly people started warming up to it.

Like the e-Type, series I works better for me in the looks department.

Not a fan of the new nose either; IMHO, some cohesive element was lost in not tying in the headlight LED angle with the bumper crease and into the splitter.

I was disappointed by the new look of the R (although I like the other 2018 models) but that was based on internet pictures... seeing it for real changed my mind, I have to say that the new 2018 look is more sporty. It makes the whole flatter and more menacing.

they've ruined the R now - awd only, horrible front bumper, faux alu silver trim everywhere like a base xe, black door handles that look like cheap plastic, no electric seat bolsters

no idea why they did this
