In normal times, Jaguar starts building new MY cars early in the previous year, my MY18 has a build date of 25 March 2017.

 

Some people have been told by dealers when inquiring about ordering one of the new 2022 models that the lead time will be 90 to 120 days. So you are probably looking at November or December before any are available on the dealer's lots. If you are interested you may as well place an order and get exactly what you want rather than what the dealer thinks will sell.
