Thumbs down 2nd year service...$529.

I have an appointment next Wednesday, price seems excessive for very little being done, I have a $75 off coupon good through that day I'm hoping will help soften the blow...only have 6200 miles.

That is all...

Be thankful it isn't a Ferrari or Aston Martin. I hear you pay that much for them to top off your fluids

Just kinda bummed that the following year, it was included in the package...something a high-end marque such as Jaguar should be standard.

My 2nd year service (V8S) was $342 at Jaguar White Plains in NY. Parts $145, Labor $198.

Mine was $290, though to be fair, they used Castrol Edge, not Castrol Edge Pro, according to the invoice.

3rd year was $700 (with the right oil) which included a brake flush.

If you don't like the price- don't go.

You're under no obligation, warranty or otherwise, to have it serviced by a dealer.

They included it by raising the price so you still ended out ahead. I'm about to go in for my 2nd year as well. Being SoCal I don't expect it to be on the low end of quotes.

True, but after finding someone to extract the oil out properly and the hassle of sourcing the correct oil for the application, it's just easier to bite the bullet and have the dealer do it. This car is going back at lease end anyway...

Then instruct the dealer to do only that which is required by Jag for warranty purposes and nothing more.

Is there a menu somewhere telling how much time (days) is left before the next service is needed? My 2012 C63 very clearly told you how many miles or days you had left.

I'm a little confused. I thought all Jaguars came with complimentary maintenance for 4 or 5 years? Why do you have to pay for a service?

It still seems high compared to mine and DJS service carried out at Jaguar dealers. I would try negotiating on the price saying you know of others in the $300 range.

No sense in paying more than you need to due to a dealer inflating their prices.

Seems to vary from year to year and one market to another.

2014's and earlier did not come with the maintenance package (not sure what year the package was introduced). First year is free - you are on your own after that.

My dealer charges ridiculous money for service, but I am not complaining as they fixed my clutch and otherwise stood by the car. If this change, I will re-evaluate my approach but we are talking couple hundred few times a year (once a year for most of you).

It is interesting that they used Castrol Edge Pro 'OE' vs 'E'

2015's as well. Maintenance program wasn't introduced until 2016 model year.
