It was actually called the 477th Bombardment Group. Tuskegee airmen, heroes all.

My company was started by one of the Tuskegee airmen, Lucky Lester.

Friends,

As it is the beginning of Black History Month, I thought it appropriate to share a bit of my family history with you. My Dad was recruited from Cornell University into the all black Army Airforce 477th Bomber Group. While the 477th was not as well known as the now popular pilots of the 99th with the "Red Tail" P-51 Mustangs, theirs was an equally compelling story that I'm just now putting together...
