Active exhaust switch

Hi just bought a 2014 v6 F-type. Just wondering if having the exhaust valve open uses up more fuel?

Kind of. It induces a deeper push of the throttle so you can hear more glorious exhaust noises. All things equal, however, it should not have any impact on fuel burn.
