Default aftermarket "black pack"

Hello, wanted to get your feedback on the "black pack" option for the f type coupe. Looks like the black variations for Jaguar are "ebony" and "ultimate black." As I understand, ebony is flat black and ultimate black is metallic black.

I spoke with 2 different dealers today and the "black pack" is available on "ultimate black" and a few other colors but not on "ebony." I found this stange since ebony is the most low key color. Therefore buyers would be most likely to go for the "blacked out" look.

Has anyone else here ordered the ebony but wanted the black pack? Have you investigated aftermarket options for this?

The black parts, with the exception of the grill which can be painted can be bought as parts. The side vents are a bitch to install.

@enderle - Why are the side vents a bitch to install? And *how much* of a bitch are they to install? Are you saying that the grille cannot be bought as a part or just that it's more practical to paint it instead?

I haven't been able to locate a grill and our dealer has been getting them painted to solve this problem. I had the dealer install my side vents. You have to pull the wheel liner. They did it for me for free but indicated it was much harder than they thought it would be even with the liner removed. I guess it is really tough to get the clips to release (they said it was really tight access). They aren't very expensive though. Now the carbon fiber parts, those puppies are costly (Mina Gallery is building alternatives and I chatted with them this evening and they expect them to be done in about a month. I lust for the engine cover. But my wife wants the mirror accents to match the blade wheels.
