Default Aftermarket rims/wheels selection...?

Last night I spent a while reading through various wheel threads and came up with a whopping 2-3 names, such as vossen.

what's going on here, is there really so little variety for these cars? I know it's a funky pitch diameter.. But still.

=/

Others would probably have a better idea than me (my guess would be not enough volume to make it worthwhile), but add Vorsteiner to the list if it is not already on it. I have them on mine, absolutely amazing to look at and the weight reduction made a huge difference to handling.

It's the volume. To get the rims priced reasonably they need reasonable volume to pay development costs. It only gets worse when everyone wants a different style and different offset.

Damn. I just want some decent flow forms, I guess I'm spoiled from my corvette days. So vossen and vorsteiner are known to make rims in our pitch diameter?

This is what convinced me to go with the Vorsteiners, I have no idea what the pitch diameter is but they have been on my car for a few years now and work fine.

Other manufacturers do similar styles https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...talled-203620/

Pitch diameter is more correctly called Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD).
All modern Jag wheels have a PCD of 5x108.
This simply means 5 stud holes with the circle drawn through the centre of them having a diameter of 108 mm.
Edit - and you can buy adapters (similar to spacers) so you can fit wheels with a different PCD, for example 5x108 to 5x120.

There are many more options. I didn't bookmark all the ones I found, but they are there. I ended up going with Blaque Diamond simply because someone turned in a lease and sold the wheels for a great price.

HRE wheels. Industry standard since '78.
If you can afford it, its the way to go and if i remember correctly, the weight on my rear 21x11 wheel is only 22 lbs

I went with Avant Garde wheels as well. There are actually a fair amount of options for wheels for the F-Type from what I've found during my own wheel search. I got mine from Element Wheels & Tires https://www.elementwheels.com/ Just drop your year/make/model in the search and it will list the options available. Is your top priority maximum weight savings or just more for looks? Definitely seems to be more options for cast aftermarket wheels than there are for forged.

That's because we're both from Wisconsin! My car came with them from the previous owner, and I like them, but I'm going to change them to all black. They are the M632 which are the "rotary forged" that are basically press-spinned cast, but are still way lighter than OEM.

nothing like that for me this time, had nice monoblocks on my corvette but on this car, a v6 base vert, its a grand touring car so i'll treat it as such. some cheaper "forged" or flowform will be fine..
