[QUOTE=JIMLIGHTA;2013475]Since the thread has resurfaced and I had no idea the menu existed either, here is a US photo

This is not temperature sensitivity! It has nothing to do with the temperature settings...note the icon to the left: this adjustment controls the recirculating air function and the sensitivity refers to the point of air contamination (for lack of a better term) at which the outside air vent is closed off and the system is put into recirculating mode.

That's just the cover. I don't believe that includes the mechanism that needs to be replaced.

If it stopped working anyway, can it be intentionnally jammed in the open position?

I ended up having the service done at the dealer in Baton Rouge on 10/2/18.

They updated the computer system, but that did not do the trick in my case.

Ended up replacing: 1x t2r17443paj vent fica for $398.41

Labor was another $145

Diagnosis was another $145

Thanks for all the upfront info when I started this tread.

does anyone have a copy of the TSB? Might really help as I have to take mine to the dealer to be fixed and may be able to have them help me out even though warranty has expired if it is a known issue with a TSB.

I will try to remember to check my service records. PM me after a couple of days, in the likely event that I forget.

Here’s what was done to my car to fix it. They reference Bulletin K243...

My center vent on my 2014 F-Type V8S failed out of warranty. The dealer charged $306 for the part. Labor brought it up to $615. I believe that they re-engineered this part as it was a known problem. Replacement part is working perfectly.

Thanks so much DJS, this is perfect and my VIN is in range too, this will help a great deal when I go to put pressure on the dealer for an out of warranty warranty repair.

If it's out of warranty, you'd have to pay for it.

Pretty sure I read there's a DIY fix/repair for this if you are out of warranty.

Can’t find the thread but I reposted their attachment in a response to another’s issue a few years ago
