All Seaons Tires
I have a F-Type R and was wondering if anyone has the Bridgestone all seasons installed on their car. My local jaguar dealership won’t install them because they’re not “recommended” by Jaguar even though tire rack lists the tire as fitting the car.
Are the Load Ratings the same F&R? If not, don't expect the dealer to install them due to liability concerns.
In Theory, they are correct. In Practice, you will surely be OK if (for example) you run one or two PSI higher for a tire that is rated 99Y instead of 103Y.
The above assumes that the actual sizes are the same. If not look at the MAXIMUM RATED LOAD spec for the tires you are considering. A lower load rating demands higher pressures, a higher load rating allows lower pressures and a more comfy ride.
(Of course, if you run on soft sand at the beach, you want REALLY low air pressure, say 15 PSI. LOL)
