I have always believed that the V8 used the same coupler is the V6, well if not the identical coupler (maybe slightly different size) then the exact same design with the same spring. Plenty of examples on this forum of older V8s in XFs, XJs, XKs etc suffering from the same rattly coupler as the V6, and I am sure I have read of some V8 F-Types having a rattly coupler.
Maybe just maybe when Eaton came out with a mild update of the coupler a few years ago (2019?) they switched to the solid type?

This unfortunately is not correct. The V8 does use a spring coupler. I am positive considering I have replaced it in my V8 with a solid coupler. "Most" V6 used the larger spring loaded coupler, so the larger Eaton (or previously mentioned ZZP Performance coupler of 49mm would be the correct one to use, however in my V8's case, it also used the same size. Earlier model V8 have a smaller diameter and thickness coupler as well as smaller diameter of the peg holes that hold it in place.

When I asked the question a year or so ago, the answer was it was a solid coupler and there was no "uprated" part - the information provided earlier was given to me & has stayed in a Word doc ever since.
As I couldn't find a solid coupler, I'll as the same question again. Does anyone have a link to the uprated/solid s/c coupler for the V8?
The 3rd aluminium pipe you're refering to is not supplied by EuroAMP & one I discovered during my research - it's a worthwhile one to purchase and fit whilst replacing the plastic coolant pipes. The rear manifold is a work in progress with EuroAMP. Don't expect to see an uprated aluminium part for 2-3 years.

Firstly, I apologize for posting in the F-Type Forum, but I understand that both the F-Type and XK suffer from failing plastics in our cooling systems.Unfortunately there are no aluminum replacement pipes available for my car at this time. I have the non supercharged 5.0 in my 2010 XK and am planning on getting just about every plastic cooling pipe/line replaced next week. There are no leaks to speak of, but as other members are doing... this is a proactive maintenance to avoid castastrophic engine overheating.The Alldata has this as a 10 hr job but I was quoted 8 hrs My main concern is the front crossover(plastic seam fused pipe in my case) as well as the rear crossover. There is also the thermostat and housing as well as numerous other plastic hoses and lines. The water pump was replaced last year with the latest version (2015) so that won't be necessary. I find that although some indy shops might say they can do the job,, it is an extensive job and those shops that do it regularly are more skilled with the delicate areas that can break as well as doing it properly. I've decided to go for the extra bucks to have Jaguar do the job. . The Alldata has this as a 10 hr job but I was quoted 8 hrs. To be continued.
I just received the new aluminum coolant pipes and brass elbows from Euro-Amp.
The parts look good and got fast shipping to Florida. Very reasonably priced for 77 dollars in my opinion.
I have also ordered the aluminum piece that goes on the back of the water pump which should be in early next week.
I have not heard anymore progress on a replacement rear cross over pipe in aluminum.
I don't have any leaks on my F Type R right now but I will be getting all the parts replaced as recommended by this Forum this Spring /Summer once she is out of winter hibernation back home.
Of course the supercharger has to come off and I thought about getting the LR blanking cover for the Symposer that a few have done like The Rock.
Is the sound of the Jaguar still ok after removing the Symposer. What is the difference ?
I would like to leave it off so I can servicing the supercharger and replace the oil without having to remove the supercharger.
I will ask the garage to keep the unit intact in case I ever want to put it back to original condition.
Please let me know what you think.

It's a two minute job to defeat it and another two to reverse the change so you can see the difference for yourself. I hate the thing but it might be that with the 6MT the operation is more obvious and intrusive. I don't know, but others have not noticed much difference.

The sound is more muted but still there. I prefer it blanked off. You can test it yourself easily by uncoupling the tube at the rear top of the engine that leads to the firewall and plugging it with a cork/rubber plug.

I have now purchased this aluminum part. Is it a big effort in advance to replace only this?
Does the water pump have to be dismantled for this? Are additional seals needed in this process?

My Jaguar mechanic who is worth his weight in gold has done several of these without ever having to remove the supercharger. It was a relatively easy operation as he put it. One hour labor......
