Default Aluminum paddle shifters installed

Aluminum paddle shifters arrived at the dealer and I installed them. Easy installation -- takes just a few minutes. The only tool needed is a T20 screw driver.

Jaguar accessory part #T2R6547MMU (note: the ones listed in Jaguar's brochure are T2R6547, which have apparently been superseded by the newer ones with the MMU in the model #).

Cool. How do they feel compared to the plastic ones? Sturdier?

They feel a bit less plasticky but to be honest the difference is not huge. I'm not sure it's worth around $600 for the privilege.

I thought I would like these, but they don't excite me. For some reason it doesn't flow with the rest of the interior.

The black/bronze plastic look better.

I kind of agree and am not sure I will keep them installed. They do *feel* (a little) better to the hand but in the end I find I'm not using the paddles that much after all, and optimizing for the look instead of the feel might be the better trade-off.

Maybe see about selling them to Mina Gallery so they can make us some carbon fiber ones?

Hi.
Im wondering if its possible to have the yellow ignis-colored shifter.

because i have the basic v6 f-type. I'm looking to buy the yellow paddle shifters plus the yellow start button so I can have the dynamic look inside the interior.

Please if you know any share me. appreciated.

This!!! the fact they charge $600 for those two 50 cent pieces of aluminum is absurd.

I would consider spray painting them Gloss Black, or maybe even a crinkle "Zolatone" type texture so the paddles had a tactile feel to them... but for $600, I'll pass too.
Anyone know how much they charge for a replacement set of Plastic paddles?

As these are longer than the plastic paddles, do they fall to hand better? Using the plastic paddles means keeping your hands on the spokes.

Is there something wrong with these paddles on Ebay or is it me but the up & down shifts are on the opposite side.

No. Have a look at how the paddles mount in the How To section.

Fitted. I like them, but wouldn't pay Jaguar's full asking price.

My orange ones are getting a bit worn already. They have some scuffs on them. How do you take them off. I'd like to get them painted RED so they make me go FASTER

There's a dis riptide in the How To section. You'll need a T20 Torx. If your car is like mind, the screws will be very stiff to undo, so don't be temped to use an Allen Key.

OMG That right there's gotta be good for at least 0.4 secs off your 0-60 time!

Love the honesty. $600 does, indeed, sound like a steep price for a marginal improvement [or change]. Live and learn...

Best regards,
