So, when I'm cleaning my car and just want to leave it unlocked, it will lock itself after a couple of minutes. How do I get it to just stay unlocked?

Open the door. If you unlock it and open the door it won't re-lock.

Yes. It's a security feature that if you unlock but don't open a door, it re-locks. I think it's in the owner's manual, but it's been a while since I read through it.
