Pretty sure all of the products contain the same chemical. The rain-x patent ran out. The other more expensive products are just that - more expensive, from my own testing. A $3 bottle of rain-x lasts you 5 years, and months between applications. Once you've actually tried rain-x (or your choice of similar product) there's no going back imo. It's that good. Also snow doesn't stick, ice doesn't stick.

I use Rain X's car wash product as well, which I like better than some of the normal, well known brands.
