With Rain-X you don't need to use the wipers.
Seriously, I haven't experienced that problem, but I'm using their washer fluid rather than the coating.

I use rain-x coating on all of my cars. Barely use the wipers at all, and the improved visibility is amazing. Personally I think it's essential, and *not* having rain-x is willingly having much worse vision in the rain -- but I'm weird like that. Needs to be redone every 6 months or so - a 20 minute job. Any friend whose car I've put it on is blown away and starts using it too.

Sometimes I use a fine polish. If the windshield is stripped of all dirt or wax, Aquapel seems to be the best and last the longest.

This stuff rocks: Optimum Opti-Glass Coating, windshield coating, windshield coating to prevent chips

I use rain X, works really well on the screen and pano roof. Awesome on the shower screen inside too, many brownie points from the missus.

I used the cleaning paste first and then the spray.

I use the Rain-X washer fluid too. The challenge is to remember to top it off prior to service, or it keeps getting diluted with standard stuff.

Nati: I've found that if I drive fast enough, the rain doesn't have a chance to hit my windshield. (You'll see.)

if you use any coating on the windshield (like rain-x), you should also apply it to the wipers to make sure the wipers glide smoothly across the surface.

As you can see, Jay's windshield stays dry.

Yep, in addition to using rain-ex on my car's windshields, I've been using it on my motorcycle helmet visors and goggles for many, many years.

With the exception of Newman (NEWMAN!) I'm like the United States Postal Service:

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays me from driving my car.

And, truth be told, I have used rain-x on many of my cars over the years but, somehow, never did apply it to my F-Type. Surely not a bad idea (although I prefer the concept of trying to outrun the rain.)

Amused to see the motorcycle references. Recall the winter debates on motorcycle forums ( most esoteric stuff when many couldn't ride) which revealed the "best" visor coating was Lemon Pledge !
Not ready to try it though on the FType ....yet.

I use a good window cleaner along with a clay bar to remove all the road grime and junk off the window. No need for other products.
