Default Anyone manage to mount a powered sub under the seats?

I am upgrading a few things in the audio system and trying to decide where I want to mount a powered subwoofer. I am replacing the subs in the doors with the Meridian Signature series and dynamat which will help but I still want to have a small dedicated subwoofer to help out. I had a powered Alpine sub in my Mercedes SLK 55 and it was only 9x13x3 inches. My thought is one this size might fit under the driver or passenger seat if pushed all the way back. The other option is to mount a slim powered sub in the front area of the trunk but I'm a little concerned that it won't sound as good being that it's in the trunk of a convertible and there is a solid wall in between the main cabin. Has anyone mounted a small sub under the seats? Not seeing any when I search.

I can't imagine there's enough room to squeeze anything more than 2 or 3 sheets of paper under the seats without cutting into the floorboard.

There definitely isn't room toward the front half of the seat, but I read on the audio thread that someone had managed to mount a slim 10" sub under the driver seat in a custom enclosure. I'm going to make a dummy box the size of the Alpine sub and see if it will fit pushed all the way back.
