Default Missing Tow Hook and Holder

I just discovered that my 2018 coupe is missing the tow hook and the holder. The car has no spare tire. At a minimum I know I need the actual tow hook and the Styrofoam block that holds it on the battery hold down. Is there anything else that is needed, such as clips etc.?

You only need the tow hook.
Like you my car came with no tow hook and no styrofoam block.
I still had my 2010 XFR at the time so I tried it's tow hook on the F-Type - perfect fit and I am 99% sure they are the exact same tow hook.
So I filched the tow hook from the XFR and stuck it in the F-Type.
I store it in the cubby box under the hatch, with a bunch of tools and cloths on top to stop any rattling, I recommend you do the same.
Used XF tow hooks come up on Fleabay from time to time for waaay cheaper than so-called F-Type tow hooks, or you could try getting one from a wrecker.

Is your car still under warranty? It wouldn't hurt to ask the dealer for one. the answer is always no if you don't ask.

Had the same issue. Went to the dealer and they gave me the missing part for free, no question asked.

I just called the local Jaguar dealer where I have the car serviced and was told it is not covered under warranty. They suggested I call the selling dealer. Unfortunately that dealer is a seven hour drive away in another state.

Considering I got the car at an unheard of $34K under sticker in November 2019 when I bought it new I don't mind shelling out money for a tow hook.

I do appreciate the suggestion though. It was worth a try.

Though you might use Oz's storage strategy, it's nice to have it stored securely in the foam block.

Is there anything else besides the foam block that is needed?

BTW - That foam block is $39.60! Brit Car has it for $17.49.
